After a successful 30-year career as an Emmy winning television scriptwriter and producer, I’ve refocused my writing skills to the genres of memoir, fiction and live-event storytelling.  My work explores the complexities of family relationships and themes of coming of age, loss and redemption. 

 

Every Irish Girl has a Nun Story is a memoir collection of seven short stories spanning three generations of an Irish Catholic family.

 

“Erica’s Story”, a chapter from the memoir, chronicles the death of a child and is featured in the Spring 2026 issue of Months to Years Journal. 

 

Don't Take That Left Turn, a story about the toll of dementia on a family, appears in the 2026 edition of The Southern Quill.

Part of my process of writing is to share my stories at storytelling festivals.  Three additional stories from the collection have been told at live storytelling festivals.  These festivals are structured after The Moth, national public radio’s series of live-storytelling events.

I am currently working on What Fell Apart, a fictional short story of two men, at the end of life, coming to terms with secrets, regrets and loss opportunities for love.
